Art direction is usually defined as the management of the artistic and design elements of a project, and is often discussed in terms of film, television, advertising, or publishing. 1
Web-based art direction simply adds online media to the mix. The tools for creating web-based communication have become increasingly powerful, allowing for rich typography and sophisticated layouts.
In skilled hands, these exciting new tools for content creation can result in immersive, aesthetically pleasing work. What I offer is over 15 years of design experience, with formal training in studio art and communications.
